The 2017-2018 season of Ligue 1 is the eightieth edition of the French Football Championship and the sixteenth under the name "Ligue 1". The season begins on August 4, 2017 and the-end on May 19, 20181.
The three promoted second division teams are RC Strasbourg, Amiens SC and ES Troyes AC, replacing FC Lorient, AS Nancy Lorraine and SC Bastia.
The 2017-2018 Football League Cup is the 24th edition of the French Football League Cup, organized by the LFP.
The final will be held at the Matmut-Atlantique Stadium in Bordeaux on March 31, 2018.
