The Euroleague
(ULEB Euroleague), currently Turkish Airlines Euroleague, is the most
important basketball club competition in Europe.
This semi-closed competition includes 16 teams, some clubs having a place assured for a few years. The regular season takes place in the form of championship, where each team faces successively the other 15 in return match.
At the end of the regular season, the top 8 teams qualify for the quarter-finals, which is the best of five rounds.
The winners meet for the final phase of the competition, the Final Four, which is held in a city designated in advance.
The four clubs compete in the semifinals and finals, in a dry round each round. The winning club of the Euroleague is designated European champion.
