The Europa League 2022-2023 is the 52nd edition of the second most prestigious European football club cup, the 12th under the name Europa League. Organized by UEFA, the competition is open to football clubs from UEFA member associations, qualified on the basis of their good results in the national league or cup.
The
winner of the Europa League will qualify for the 2023 UEFA Super Cup as
well as the 2023-2024 UEFA Champions League group stage.

The final will take place in 2023 at the Ferenc-Puskás Stadium in Budapest.
Format
The format of this competition is as follows:
A qualifying phase consisting of two qualifying rounds, the last of which is called a play-off. Clubs are separated into two qualifying rounds, one for domestic champions (known as the Champions Path) and one for non-champions (known as the Main Path). Teams eliminated from the Champions League participate in each round of this phase.
A group stage, which consists of eight mini-leagues of four teams per group. The first two of each group continue the competition. In the event of a tie on points between two or more teams, the ranking is determined first by the particular point difference between the tied teams and then by the particular goal difference.
A final phase composed of:
An additional barrage (or round of 16), round trip, made up of the teams ranked second in the group and the teams ranked third in their group in the Champions League.
A direct elimination tournament, made up of the first 8 of the group phase and the 8 winners of the play-off after pools and broken down into round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals in round trip and a final on neutral ground.
